Program support
Advocate Children’s Hospital is home to the nationally renowned Advocate Children’s Heart Institute. We’re a regional leader in caring for children with congenital and acquired heart diseases.
Your gift will help us continue treating more than 12,000 youngsters annually and pioneering lifesaving procedures and treatments.
Research and education
The Advocate Center for Pediatric Research works with providers and investigators across Advocate Children’s Hospital and Advocate Health Care to improve children’s health by enhancing the efficiency and quality of pediatric clinical and translational research.
These research activities, combined with the latest technology and expertise, allow us to:
- Give children access to the latest treatments and medications
- Offer alternatives to standard therapies
- Provide additional choices for care
Funding supports research activities including clinical, basic science and investigator-led initiatives to improve all aspects of pediatric care.
Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) facilities and equipment
The pediatric cardiac surgery program at Advocate Children's Hospital is the largest in Illinois and one of the most active in the country. We offer comprehensive care for children requiring surgical intervention for congenital or acquired heart disease as well as adults with congenital heart disease.
Our surgical patients and their families benefit from:
- The Surgical Heart Unit’s suite of private rooms
- State-of-the-art monitoring systems and equipment
- A nursing staff dedicated exclusively to the care of pediatric cardiac patients
