Pediatric rehabilitation program
Advocate Children’s Hospital’s pediatric rehabilitation and development department is unique to Chicagoland because it is the only pediatric rehabilitation program that is located inside an acute care hospital. Your child can receive different kinds of rehabilitative therapy after a surgery or other kinds of inpatient health care procedures. We also offer outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Inpatient rehabilitation services focus on early identification and intervention and can be appropriate for premature newborns, at-risk infants, infants with congenital heart disease, and children hospitalized for acute illnesses, brain trauma, and orthopedic surgeries. Inpatient rehabilitative care is fully integrated with our comprehensive outpatient services to provide seamless support for your child.
Our services are provided to children with special needs throughout the hospital, including those in the following areas of the hospital:
- Mother baby unit
